Time Melts Away

This artwork features wood, glass, and stone. The central form is carved from a piece of spalted maple wood. Set into the wood is a spiral inlay of lapis lazuli. A layered background mosaic is made from birch bark and weathered wood. Overlapping the mosaic is laminated clear glass, that suggests a flow of water or melting ice.
