Compact Mended Heart

This gorgeous wall sculpture is created from a solid block of herringbone-like laminated American cherry. The sculpting of the heart starts with aggressive tools to cut the bulk of the wood, with more sophisticated tools being used for the final shaping and detailing. The two halves are masterfully joined with ash splines, before being finished with exceptionally durable tung oil. The work requires only one screw to mount to a wall; hardware and mounting instructions included.

Please note, wood grain patterns will vary; cherry wood also naturally darkens with age.
