Sea Goddess

Wood takes on the luminous beauty of glass in sculptural vessels with bold impact. To create each one, the artist assembles dozens of small wood blocks into a rough form, which he then turns on a lathe to achieve an elegant silhouette. He dyes the surface, then finishes it with a high-gloss lacquer for a rich, shimmering depth of color.
