Cherry Blossom Marquetry Side Table

This masterfully-crafted side cherry wood side table features charming cherry blossom marquetry on four sides. After an original sketch is drawn by hand, the artisans at M. Jury Woodworks use various wood veneers of different colors and textures to bring the sketch to life. Each piece of veneer is thoughtfully selected and placed with consideration of the grain direction. Once the veneers are stacked together in a packet, the image is cut on a scroll saw to create individual pieces of veneer; each piece is then shaded with hot sand to create depth in the image and then placed together like a puzzle to create the final image. This attention to detail and advanced construction is apparent when viewing this work of art.
