Open Segment Vase
Wood Sculpture

Small blocks of maple are assembled and turned on a lathe, transformed into this sensuous, intriguing vessel. The surface is dyed, then finished with a high gloss lacquer, lending it a shimmering luminosity and depth of color rarely seen in wood. A latticework of holes creates a dramatic play of light. Each is unique and will vary.
