Cherry Blossom Marquetry Mirror

The frame for this mirror features cherry blossom marquetry veneer on solid cherry wood, while its frame is edged with a decorative walnut and curly maple bead. The marquetry consists of maple, bloodwood, and fumed oak veneers which are drawn, cut and assembled by hand; the flower petals are dipped in hot sand to shade the maple veneer and create a subtle shadowing.
