Maple Turned Leg Desk

This desk features clean, modern design. The turned legs are mortised into battens, which are dovetailed in the underside of the desktop. The battens keep the top flat but are glued only in the front, allowing the expansion of the top across its width during seasonal changes in humidity. The solid wood hand-dovetailed drawer is mounted on wood runners under the top.
