Bear

Born from the artist's interest in art that encourages interaction, this bear is both an intriguing sculpture and a jigsaw puzzle. Created using 3-D printing, its five interlocking pieces can be taken apart and reassembled. Surfaces of each of the bear's five pieces are barrel tumbled, hand sanded, and buffed for a smooth, polished feel and ease of reassembly. During the smoothing process, every piece obtains distinct coloration. A water-based topcoat seals and protects the piece.
