Henry James

"Henry James" is another interesting sculpture by the book loving Owens. A used copy of the "Complete Works of Henry James" became a one of a kind artwork. The 3.5" hand formed sterling silver sphere is set into and attached to the book. An apple wood branch and nib pen are attached to the book cover. A string of 8mm pearls are arranged on the cover but may be removed and worn.The sphere opens to reveal a beautiful sterling silver brooch. Three figures grace the brooch; two are reading , the standing woman is 18k gold. A bit more 18k gold, two lapis lazuli stones and a pearl complete the composition. The brooch and the sphere were oxidized then highlighted and polished.
