Early Morning Surprise

This is an acrylic painting and fabric collage on gallery-wrapped canvas with painted sides. The composition is first sketched onto the canvas in charcoal, then beautiful-patterned fabrics are cut and glued onto the surface and acrylic paints are applied.

With its slyly shifting perspective, this work depicts a woman who has come downstairs for breakfast only to discover that her cat has had kittens.
