Ravens' Wood

This is a two color reduction linocut print over an aquatint etching. The impressionistic landscape was printed first, using an etched zinc plate. Then a linoleum plate with the three ravens was cut and printed over the background using a charcoal gray ink. Finally, the linoleum plate was carved a second time (or "reduced") to leave the highlights of the ravens? feathers gray, and the plate was printed a second time in black. Limited edition of 16.

The image is printed on acid-free paper The image size measures 8 inches by 16 inches. All of the prints in the edition are not identical, some prints have a green background, and some have a brown background.
