Rare and exciting, this ring boasts an authentic 3000 year old faience and paste scarab, set in pure 22 karat gold in an ancient inspired mounting. Showing the hieroglyphs underneath, this scarab dates back circa 1300 BC from the New Kingdom of Egypt. The ring is designed as an ancient style swivel to show either the front or back.
Scarabs were worn as jewelry and amulets in Egypt. Being a common form like a charm, both rich and poor alike wore these on cord necklaces. They are seen in a wide variety of materials with the undersides decorated with hieroglyphs. Actual scarab may differ slightly from photo but will be from the same collection, dated and authentic.
Stamped with artist hallmark. Certificate of Authenticity provided. Available in size 7 or 7.5.
