Gold Brooch with Mushroom Coral and Pearl

A beautiful mushroom coral inspired the creation of this one-of-a-kind 14k gold brooch, which was first sculpted in wax before being cast in gold. Artist Mary Elwyn allowed the texture of the coral to dictate the design of its intricate setting. For a touch of added elegance, a 6mm half-drilled pegged white cultured pearl adorns the outside of the setting. 14k gold pin stem and clasp.
