Comet Moth

This art is a new series the artist has been creating. It is inspired from his youth growing up in the tropics of South America. He saw butterflies daily in their natural habitat in all their splendor. The comet moth or Madagascan moon moth is a moth native to the rain forests of Madagascar. The male has a wingspan of 20 cm and a tail span of 15 cm, making it one of the world's largest silk moths. Giclee print on paper of an original mixed-media work on aluminum.
