"Observing our world with a a mindful approach, I focus on capturing beauty close-up in nature, in ordinary things, and in the magic of light, color, and form."

Jed Share's approach to the subject results in a journey together, to witness and record. Within the safety of this connection, boundaries melt away and the subjects reveal themselves. A bicycle trip across the United States at thirteen changed his perspective on people and travel. Later, living and working for eight years in Japan and taking on photo projects in sixty countries worldwide allowed him to explore new ideas and approaches. These explorations led to three solo shows and a book, Born Free & Equal.

Having grown through the process of the darkroom, Jed Share's current work is created digitally and enhanced to bring out the depth, richness, and evocative spirit of the image. All prints are completely archival; quality is paramount.

Share was highly influenced by the Family of Man photographers: Weston, Adams, Ernst Haas, Avedon, and Penn. During the early 1980s in New York, Share assisted many leading photographers. His approach utilizing close-ups as well as abstracts of industrial texture led to many successful annual reports and awards. His prints are in collections worldwide.
