Candescent Glow
Ceramic Vessel
Created by
Jean Elton
A radiant interplay of warmth, light, and intricate movement: Candescent Glow is a captivating piece from the JeanElton portfolio, crafted within the TallVase Collection. The vessel’s softly undulating rim mirrors the organic nature of its surface, where delicate spirals and bursts of intricate pattern radiate across a glowing, pastel-hued background. A harmonious blend of warm pinks, fiery oranges, and golden yellows seamlessly transitions across the surface, evoking the brilliance of a setting sun casting its last luminous embers across the sky.
Each meticulously hand-applied detail shimmers against the matte exterior, lending an ethereal quality to the composition. The interplay of precise geometry and fluid color creates a sense of both structure and spontaneity, drawing the eye across its rhythmic dance of light and form. The interior, finished in a soft complementary tone, enhances the overall warmth of the piece, inviting closer inspection and appreciation of its intricate design.
The work is fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made, and the surface treatment is applied by hand by the artist. A second firing to about 2100 degrees F completes the process, ensuring its durability and artistic integrity.
This piece bears the JeanElton signature on its underside and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), both of which display its unique serial number.
