Hole in the Wall Vase

This black, high-gloss rectangular piece is assembled from seven pieces of clay. It takes careful construction and slow drying to keep it from warping. The opening in the top of the rectangle is off center, creating a little visual tension. Bright flowers work particularly well in contrast.
