Play Ball

Inspired by the artist's own pet, Porter, this playful dog and his tiny feathered friend are hand built from stoneware clay. The artist creates a striking, natural coloration by applying glaze, then wiping away the highlights for a weathered look. Dog is affixed to ball with aide of a steel rod, and ball is filled with sand to provide stability. Each is unique; glaze and surface detail will vary.
