Large Violet Elongated Sphere

Large hand blown glass vessel and glass stopper with attached cast bronze branch. Part of the 'fissure' series of vessels inspired by industrial landscapes. Intense, internal violet color is partially exposed by scoring the more muted surface color while the glass is molten. After the vessel has cooled down, a stopper is created out of a metallic oxide glass and a custom cast bronze branch is attached. Photo is actual one of a kind artwork for sale in this listing. Bronze has brushed highlights and is hot wax sealed.
