River Rock Vase

Each River Rock vase has an intriguing story behind its creation; first, artist Dante Germain collects river rocks, choosing them for their shape and size. Molten glass is then blown into the rocks at high temperature, resulting in a simple, clean aesthetic that emphasizes the organic form of the piece and the beautiful simplicity of nature. The bottom of each vase is etched with the body of water from which the stones were collected: the St Croix and Mississippi rivers, as well as Lake Superior; the artist hopes his work will invite conversation about these waters which sustain and inspire us.
