Waltzing in the Marsh, Turquoise
Art Glass Sculpture
Created by
Warner Whitfield and Beatriz Kelemen
A heron strikes a graceful pose among wetland grasses in this balletic glass sculpture bursting with light and movement. Each element is formed entirely by hand while the glass is hot—the artists use no molds or castings, ensuring that every piece is unique. Removable elements are set in a solid wood base finished with satin black paint, and each glass element is removable for easy shipment and cleaning. Due to the nature of the coloring technique on the heron, each one will have its own pattern.
