Vase Sponge on Brain Coral

A blown and sculpted vase sponge mounted on top of a brain coral base with branch coral attachment. This piece was hot sculpted using both traditional and non-traditional glass blowing techniques. The rich colors and textures were achieved b sifting glass powders late in the process as well as etching the surface of the sponge and branch coral for a satin finish. For decorative use only.
