Dancing in the Sea of Coral, Carmelo
Art Glass Sculpture
Created by
Warner Whitfield and Beatriz Kelemen
This luminous glass sculpture evokes the image of underwater coral reefs, dancing with the rhythm of the tides. Inspired by the artist's experience diving in the shallow, clear waters of Florida and the Caribbean, as well as his love of dance, this work appears to move gracefully as the light plays off its surfaces. Formed by hand from molten glass canes using the latticino technique, each piece is unique. Mounted on a black painted hardwood base. Each glass element is removable for easy shipment and cleaning. Base dimensions: 2"H, 8"W, 8"D.

- Minor assembly required: simply insert each glass element into the numbered holes in the base.
- Materials: Glass, Wood
