Jerusalem Sunset Menorah
Art Glass Menorah
Created by
Varda Avnisan
Meleke, or "royal stone," has been used in the architecture of Jerusalem since ancient times. This handcrafted glass menorah was inspired by the city's buildings and the Western Wall. Stone-colored glass is awash with the changing colors of the sun setting over the Western Wall. The glass is cut and arranged like masonry, then fired together and slumped on a custom form, creating the piece's gently-curving form. Brass candle holders are affixed to the bottom of the piece.
