Sharon London
"To create our textiles, we extract and uncover lines, surfaces, and textures. Our hand-painted designs combine images and patterns found in nature, creating a balance that brings the past to present. By the process of working with the fiber itself as a canvas, our palettes and patterns begin to take form. We machine knit, shape, steam block, and sew using responsibly grown, long-staple cotton yarn that allows us to create luxurious pieces that are machine washable."
Sharon London got her start in London, UK, where she started training her eye in textiles and fashion as a vintage clothing hound. She began selling her wares in Portobello Road, initially hand painting and recycling sweaters from vintage seconds. Thus was born her first line of repurposed vintage pieces for all body types. From there, Sharon London's collections evolved to using sustainable, responsibly grown yarn today.
A history in climate consciousness, recycling, and repurposing fabrics motivates Sharon London's commitment to running a zero-waste studio powered by solar and the sun. The team creates a timeless, versatile look that is contemporary and can be worn day to evening, great for travel, cozy for air conditioning, warm enough for winter, and suitable for all seasons.
