Loints of Holland
"We go the extra step to put healthy, green, and cool shoes on your feet."
For Loints of Holland, shoes are a family affair. What began in 1918 in the backyard shed of founder Cornelus Klijsen has grown into a small-batch footwear company helmed by three generations of Klijsen's progeny. Loints of Holland's aim is simple: to produce quality, comfortable footwear with a limited environmental impact.
Streamlined design defines Loints of Holland's aesthetic, while a respect for nature is fundamental to its practices. Each pair of shoes is individually crafted by hand, with approximately 200 steps of production—a process that ensures quality construction and increased durability. The footwear is left unlined, to reduce the use of leather, glue, and energy. They also work with suppliers dedicated to sustainability: their tanneries do not use harmful chemicals in the processing of their leathers, and all outsoles are made without freon.
Loints of Holland is based in Hungary, where it creates unique, wearable footwear that can be found all over the world.
