Kelly Jean Conroy

"I believe jewelry contains the power to hold memories, experiences, people, and creatures within, allowing the wearer to remember and hold close. It is an honor to create work that will hopefully share it's beauty and happiness with the wearer."

Conroy's jewelry begins with photographs and sketches from nature walks. Her work focuses on life cycles in nature within a jewelry format.

Her specialties are enameling, painting in enamel, laser cutting, and casting. She works with natural materials, carving bone and piercing mother of pearl.

Kelly Jean Conroy received her BFA from Syracuse University in Art Education and Painting and her MFA in Jewelry Metals from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She is currently teaching metalsmithing at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School and has previously taught metalsmithing courses at Massachusetts College of Art and Metalwerx.
