Keith Cerone

"As a Formalist, purely visual aspects and compositional elements of color, line, balance, shape and texture are the driving force behind my work. I find molten glass to be the perfect medium in which to showcase and create a dialog surrounding these natural phenomena. "

Simply using the Pumpkin as a canvas, Keith Cerone brings a painterly quality to traditional glass art. This new series of Japanese inspired designs act as a statement piece or a subtle addition to the existing decor. Add Keith's unique work to your collection today and let his art create a new focal point for your home.

Keith makes his hand-blown glass pumpkins using classic Italian glassblowing processes, but his multilayered color application method is a little out of the ordinary. His glass pumpkins can have up to 12 carefully chosen and positioned colors. In order to get the glass hot enough to accept the next coats of color, he reheats the artwork in a 2000 degree heating chamber after each layer.

Keith Cerone received his BFA in Glass in 2006 from Massachusetts College of Art. In 2012, he received his Masters Degree in Glass Sculpting from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has spent the last three years building two personal galleries with over 30 large scale sculptures open for viewing by appointment in Central Falls, Rhode Island.
