Traces In Stone II

Traces in Stone is part of the artist's Topographies Series. Pieces of weathered wood form the relief patterns and hint at the action of sun, wind, and rain. Upon close inspection, fragments of flint and obsidian, remnants of stone tools, are revealed—the symbolic "trace" that connects all humans together. This most basic act of fracturing stone to make tools set us on the course to the hyper-technological present day.
